Setting Up A Branded Domain

URL branding allows you to create a customized domain or subdomain for your event platform, enhancing its professional identity. This process involves configuring a CNAME record that points to Jublia’s domain to ensure seamless functionality.

Step 1: Create a CNAME Record

  1. Access your domain registrar's DNS settings.
  2. Create a CNAME record for your desired subdomain, e.g., businessmatching.eventname.com.
  3. Point the domain  to the Jublia IP - 52.220.208.88
  4. Point the CNAME record to:

    match-prod-lb-2016849698.ap-southeast-1.elb.amazonaws.com

  5. A quick sample guide can be found here.

Step 2: Verify the CNAME Record

  1. Use DNS Checker to confirm the CNAME is correctly configured.

Step 3: Notify Customer Success

Once the CNAME record is successfully pointed, inform your dedicated Customer Success Manager for further validation.

Step 4: Adjust Domain if Needed

If your domain is still pointing to the old Jublia IP, update the DNS settings to delete the A record and use the CNAME only.

NOTE:

URL Branding that is PROXY related case:

If you're facing issues with DNS pointing to Jublia IP even after configuring the settings, it's important to follow these steps:

  1. Check DNS Settings: Use tools like DNS Checker to verify the DNS settings.
  2. Update your dedicated Customer Success as soon as possible.
  3. Disable Cloudflare Proxy Temporarily: If your DNS shows a misconfiguration, try disabling the proxy in Cloudflare temporarily. This can help during the setup phase to ensure the connection works properly without interruptions.
  4. SSL Certificate from Jublia: Jublia will provide and configure the SSL certificate on their end, ensuring secure connections throughout.
