How to Use Map Cartography

This guide explains how to manually fill booth areas, add markers for different locations, and update boundaries within your event map.

Manually Filling Booth Area

In some cases, your map areas may not automatically be tagged. If this happens, follow these steps to manually tag an area:

Step 1: Click on the map to place a pin at the center of the area you want to tag.

Step 2: Click on the pin to open a pop-up menu with options.

Available Options in the Pop-Up Menu

The menu will offer the following options:

Location

Use this option to add either a company’s booth or an agenda location to the map.

Company Booth/Stand:

Step 1: Choose the area where the booth is located.

Step 2: Enter the name of the booth area and click Save.

Step 3: Click the red marker again to reopen it, select Company Booth/Stand as the entity, and search for the company's name.

Step 4: Click Save again, and the company booth/stand will be added to the map.

Agenda Location

Step 1: Choose the area where the agenda sessions will take place.

Step 2: Enter the name of the agenda area and click Save.

Step 3: Select Agenda Location as the entity type and search for the location where the agenda will be held.

General

This option is for tagging common areas such as lounges, bathrooms, exits, and entrances.

Step 1: Select the middle part of the area you want to tag.

Step 2: Click on the red marker and choose General as the marker type.

Step 3: Enter the name of the area and click Save.

This option is used to mark areas that are obstructed or inaccessible, such as areas blocked by curtains or walls.

Step 1: Click on the area you want to add a boundary to.

Step 2: Select Boundary as the marker type.

Step 3: Click Save, and the area will be automatically blocked off for routing purposes.
