How to Use Map Cartography
Manually Filling Booth Area
In certain cases, your map areas may not be automatically tagged. If you encounter this situation, here's what you should do.
- Click to place the pin approximately in the middle part of the area you’d like to tag.
Click on the pin to view the pop up menu.
- You will be presented with 3 options which are the Location, General and Boundary.
Location
Used to add either a Company’s booth or an Agenda Location.
Company Booth/Stand
Choose the area to fill in and input the name of the area, then click save
- Click on the red marker again to re-open it
Click on “Company Booth/Stand” as the entity and search for the company’s name
- Click on save again and the company booth/stand should be added to the maps!
Agenda
Used to add a marker to an area where the agenda sessions will be happening.
- Choose the area to fill in and input the name of the area, then click save
- Choose “Agenda Location” as the entity type
Search for the name of the location for the agendas
General
This can be applied to common areas such as lounges, bathrooms, exits, entrances, and more!
- Select the middle part of an area which you’d like to tag.
- Click on the red marker.
- Select “General” as the marker type.
- Enter the name of the area.
- Click Save.
Boundary
This can be applied to areas where passage is obstructed, for example, when curtains or walls cover the area. This will automatically block off areas on the map for routing purposes.
- Click on the area where you want to add a boundary to.
- Select “Boundary” as the marker type.
- Click on “Save”.
